I am writing you because I wanted to let you know how
great your teachings are and that I cant thank you enough
for making such wonderful videos. I bought one and only
one back in '93 and I didnt know jack about the guitar.
Now Im 22, and that one video taught and inspired me so
much that anyone who hears my playing tells me I'm the
best they know. I'm not a cocky person ...this is what

your original licks lesson in paperback in about 1985.
By the way, I still astonish people by the theory lesson
(currently called Level 5) you wrote about back then.
I
never did thank you, so...thanks a bunch for helping me
improve without spending a fortune on lessons. To this
day, I still review your material about 4-5 times a year.
And it's been 15 years since I bought your original cassettes
and paperbacks. Thanks to you, I've successfully played
in 6 bands from punk to new wave to heavy metal. I'm doing
what I love most almost every Friday and Saturday night!

interested in learning it all. I picked up the guitar
for the second time last fall. I previously stopped attempting
to play about five years ago after eight years of being
noncommittal. After seeing a handful of friends pass me
by in only a month or two, I assumed that musical talent
was determined by one's genes. To make a long story short,
in the 10 months since ordering the Metal Method course
I am 100 times the player I thought I could be. —

About
3-4 months ago, I purchased the Experienced Levels 5-6
Metal Method videos from you, and I wanted to share my
experiences. I have been playing guitar for about 18 years
now - I took lessons when I first started, and continued
for about 5-6 years, after which I quit lessons, and began
the venture of being a 'self-taught' guitarist. This worked
fine for a few years - I worked on training my ears by
transcribing everything I could, and basically learned
every song I could note for note, but there was something
missing, and after a few years, I felt like my playing
was in a MAJOR rut - I wasn't playing anything new, and
everything I DID play seemed to sound the same to me (i'm
sure we've all had that experience).
I figured out what was missing after I watched & practiced
with the levels 5 & 6 videos of yours - and I must
say, I *CANNOT* believe the improvements it has made in
my playing! In just a few short months, not only did I
grasp the idea behind the dreaded 'Music Theory' - (like
most people, I knew the modes, etc., etc., but I had NO
idea how to apply them - not anymore thanks to your videos!)
I have also improved my picking speed dramatically (this
is evident after reviewing the 1st of the practice tapes
I made - yes, I recorded every day when I practiced -
and while it may have taken up a MOUNTIAN of tapes, but
it was WELL worth it since I could go back 3 weeks, hear
where I was at then, and compare to now.
I just wanted to let you know you have helped yet another
guitar player surpass all his expectations, and let me
tell you, it was all thanks to your instruction. Your
videos are laid out in a very good, easy to understand,
and logical order - and even though I have been playing
for a very long time, I may just go back & purchase
the other sets of videos (lessons 1-4) as I feel there
may be much I have left out of my playing for years, the
levels 5-6 showed me that! heh.. You have no idea how
much you have helped me and I'm sure there are many others
that feel the same. Thanks to you and EVERYONE there at
Metal Method - please keep up the fantastic work! —
